Abstract
The neural control of bladder is complex and highly distributed: it involves pathways at many levels of the brain, the spinal cord and the peripheral nervous system. Diseases or injuries of the central nervous system (CNS) can cause involuntary or reflex micturition, leading to urinary incontinence. The characteristics of neurogenic bladder are diverse according to CNS lesion locations. Here we review the neurogenic bladder in CNS disorders.
